Easy Vegan French Toast

Bread slices dipped in mixture of banana, soy milk, pumpkin pie spice, ground cinnamon and vanilla extract. Prepared bread is fried in nonstick skillet or lightly oiled griddle until golden brown. Served with maple syrup and fruit pieces.

Ingredients -

2-3 Ripe Bananas
3/4 cup Soy Milk
1 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice (optional)
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Bread

 
Preparation:

1. In a food processor, add the bananas, milk, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon and vanilla and blend.

2. Pour the banana mixture into a glass pie plate.

3. Dip the slices of bread into the mixture, making sure that both sides are coated.

4. In a medium nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, fry the bread slices in until golden brown.

5. Serve with favorite syrup and fruit.

 



Making French Toast -
Maple Syrup
French toast is generally topped with butter and maple syrup. To warm syrup, boil a couple inches of water in a small pan. Remove the pan from heat and place the open plastic or glass syrup container into the water until warm. Another option is to pour some syrup into a bowl or glass measuring cup with a pour spout and heat it in a microwave for several seconds.
