Orange Honey Syrup

Breakfast bread topping prepared on stove top with orange blossom honey, butter, grated fresh orange zest and juice and orange extract. Ready immediately or store in refrigerator utnil ready to use.

Ingredients -

3/4 cup Honey (preferably orange-blossom honey)
1 teaspoon Butter
1 tablespoon grated Orange Zest
1/4 cup Orange Juice
1 teaspoon Orange Extract

 
Preparation:

1. Heat the butter and honey in a 1 quart saucepan until barely bubbling.

2. Remove the pan from the heat.

3. Add the orange rind, juice and extract and stir to combine.

4. Pour the mixture into a jar with lid.

5. Seal and refrigerate.

6. Heat when ready to serve.

Toppings
French toast is decadent enough to serve for special occasions, yet simple enough to be eaten as quick everyday meals. To dress up the toast, top with fresh sliced fruit and a dollop of fresh whipped cream.
