Sweet French Toast

White bread toast slices soaked in mixture of egg, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and crushed cornflake cereal. Prepared toast is fried on hot griddle until both sides are golden brown and egg has set. Individual servings are dusted with confectioners’ sugar and topped with fresh fruit pieces.

Ingredients -

3 Eggs
1/4 cup Milk
2-1/2 tablespoons Maple Syrup
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
1/3 cup Cornflakes Cereal, crumbled
8 White Bread Slices
2 tablespoons Confectioners' Sugar for dusting

 
Preparation:

1. Whisk together the eggs, milk, syrup, vanilla and cinnamon in a medium bowl.

2. Crumble a small handful of cornflakes into the egg mixture.

3. Mix well to combine.

4. Soak the slices of bread for 2 to 3 minutes in the mixture.

5. Spray a griddle with non-stick cooking spray and heat over medium-high heat.

6. Fry the bread slices until golden brown on both sides.

7. Top with fresh fruit and powdered sugar.
